Welcome to CLAT 2025!
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of the representative universities.
Instructions for Candidates
- CLAT 2025 examination will be held on December 1, 2024 (2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M). The duration of the test is two hours. PWD Candidates will have an extra 40 minutes.
- Candidates shall be allowed to leave the Test Centre only after the test is over.
- Candidates shall not be permitted to enter the examination hall after 2:15 P.M.
- Candidates must enter the NLSIU campus through Gate 1.
- Only Candidates will be allowed to enter the University campus, and their parents or guardians will not be allowed to.
- No parking facility for vehicles will be available. No vehicle shall be allowed entry into the campus.
- Candidates must show their Admit Card to enter the Test Centre.
- Candidate’s Admit card and Photo ID proof will be verified at the verification desk.
- Candidates are requested to follow the queue and the markings outside the gate.

How to Modify CLAT Exam Centers 2026?
Candidates appearing for CLAT 2026 can modify their preferred test locations once the notification is out. Please note that requests for altering the test location beyond this deadline will not be accommodated.
Here is a guide to updating your test location preferences:
1. Sign in to your CLAT account on the CLAT 2026 website.
2. Select the ‘Edit Application‘ button.
3. Access the ‘Preferences‘ tab.
4. Review and modify your test location preferences if necessary.
5. Proceed to the ‘Reservation’ tab by clicking the ‘Next (>)’ button.
6. Scroll down, consent to the declaration, and click the ‘Submit Form’ button.
Requests to modify the details provided in the CLAT 2026 Application Form will not be considered after the specified deadline.
How to Choose CLAT Exam Centers 2026?
You can follow the instructions below to select the exam centers while completing the CLAT Application Form 2026.
- While registering on the official website, click the “Apply” button.
- Go to the CLAT application dashboard and click the “Preferences” tab.
- You must select three exam centers in the order of preference per your choice.
- Click the “Save & Continue” button and submit the application form.
